Please Use Courtesy Biking on the Greenbelt Walkway

When you or your children are bike riding along our glorious one-mile Greenbelt walkway, please use caution when approaching or passing people walking. When passing someone from behind, consider ringing a bell or simply saying, “on your left” or “on your right”.

Please give yourself extra space and slow down when approaching anyone not on a bicycle because they may not hear you or react to make sure they are not in your way. With many children and other walkers on the walkway, it’s imperative bike riders account for sudden movements.
