Pay HOA Assessments
Several methods are available to homeowners for making assessment payments.
Owners are welcome to pre-pay their assessment. To do so, simply pay whatever amount you wish as a single payment. The system will treat this over payment as a credit and the remaining balance will be applied to next month’s assessments, until the credit has been depleted.
Make a One-Time Payment Online
To make a payment online, you will need to use Common Interest Management’s Homeowner Portal, which can be accessed by clicking here.
If you have never used this system, you will need to create an account. All owners have been mailed a page with their account number and a portal registration key. You will need both of these numbers to create an account.
If you do not have this information, please email businessoffice@walnutcountry.com and request access to the Portal.
Please note, there is a $4.95 fee for making one-time payments online using a checking account or debit card. To avoid this fee, we would recommend paying by check (see details below).
Setup Automatic Payments
Owners are also able to setup automatic payments through Common Interest Management’s Homeowner Portal.
Click here to access the Homeowner Portal. Contact the Business Office if you need assistance creating an account or logging in. You will need your account number and a “Registration Key”. Management can provide you with this information. The registration key is NOT included on your monthly statement. The registration ID you see there is provided by a third-party.
Once you have created an account and logged into the Portal, you can add a payment method and setup autopay.
For step-by-step instructions for setting up automatic payments, click here.
Please note, there is a $.50 fee for making automatic payments online using a checking account.
Mail a Physical Check
You can always mail a physical check to make a one-time payment. Be sure to make the payment out to Cowell Homeowners Association, not the management company! You will also need to include your Account number, which should be on your monthly statement. If you need your Account Number, please contact accounting@commoninterest.com or call 925-743-3080 to speak with a Customer Service Representative.
Checks must be mailed to the following address, and cannot be dropped off to the Business Office or they will be returned:
Cowell Homeowners Association, Inc.
c/o Pacific Western Bank
PO Box 45480
San Francisco, CA 94145
Pay Online Through Banc of California
You can also make a one-time payment online directly through the HOA’s bank, Banc of California. NOTE: This system is not affiliated with CHOA in any way and the HOA will not be able to provide assistance should you have any questions about this payment method.
Click here to access Banc of California’s one-time payment website. Make sure the Payment tab is selected at the top right, type in “Cowell” and select the full legal name of the HOA. Type in your account number that is listed on your monthly statement – this should always start with the numbers 0754.
NOTE: If you setup “autopay” or recurring payments through this site, the amount you pay every month will not update automatically if the HOA dues go up. You will need to log back in and make the update manually. For this reason, we recommend setting up autopay through the HOA portal at https://portal.commoninterest.com.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Common Interest’s accounting department at accounting@commoninterest.com or by phone at 925-743-3080.
